On December 4, 2017, the Brand Management Team at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Wilmington, Delaware had the opportunity to volunteer for our new launched program called, “Buddy Bear”.
We truly appreciated their support in making our Tender Hearts bracelets for the Child Life Program at Nemours/A.I DuPont Hospital for Children.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
We are launching our 4th Annual toy Drive this month.
This year, our goal is to collect enough new toys to donate to the children in our organization, A.I DuPont Children's Hospital, and as well as a group of families with children in a low-income area of the city.
Please help us reach our goal and to put a sparkle in a littles one's eye this holiday season.

We partnered with the Nemours Foundation and matched donations up to $1,000. We were also interviewed about on own personal experiences with AI Hospital on WSTW and WDEL.
Tender Hearts is proud to participate in the Seventh Annual Delaware Mud Run to support Leukemia Research. This team is going down and dirty in the mud to help raise money for cancer warriors. Get yourself on board by supporting this team! We appreciate your support!

5th Annual Dancing for Babies to benefit the DE Chapter of the March of Dimes is Monday, October 20 at the Sheraton South. We’ve enlisted the talents of local couples who train with Take the Lead Dance Studio to make an evening of fun to help babies.
We are also proud to announce that we sponsored Jake Ruddy who is the President of Delaware/Maryland for PCS. PCS was founded in 2000 by Anthony Mongeluzo with the focus of guiding businesses to gain a competitive advantage by leveraging the latest technology. The team at PCS is committed to providing custom-tailored IT support solutions including: networking and server setup, 24-hour network monitoring, data backup and security, hardware sales, and assistive technology.

Delaware State Chamber partnered with the Better Business Bureau of Delaware to put on one of Delaware's largest networking events at the Chase Center, with over 125 exhibitors and almost 600 attendees.

Each year, the Wilmington Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Wilmington area a great place to live, work and play.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2014 Wilmington Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Wilmington Award Program and data provided by third parties.
The Wilmington Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Wilmington area. Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.
The Wilmington Award Program was established to recognize the best of local businesses in our community. Our organization works exclusively with local business owners, trade groups, professional associations and other business advertising and marketing groups. Doherty & Associates recognizes QuickBooks is the #1 accounting solution for small businesses. As part of Doherty & Associates' (D&A) continued commitment to the Business Community, D&A conducted free tailored QuickBooks Training for Real Estate Investors who are members of Delaware Real Estate Investors Association (DELREIA). This two-part course was delivered on July 19th and August 16th, 2014. The DELREIA members found the customized training appropriate for them and said the D&A team was "prepared, organized, interactive and well versed". This training opportunity has created so much interest that D&A has scheduled two more sessions in September and registrations for those classes are already filled.
Doherty and Associates was pleased to be a sponsor for DELREIA’s (Delaware Real Estate Investor’s Association) 'Smart and Clean' Real Estate Investing Event on January 25th, 2014, in New Castle, DE. The workshops were: "Why Invest in Notes or create them as a Private Lender?” and "Advanced IRA Strategies for Real Estate and Note Investors". Dave Van Horn – President, PPR presented on "How to Utilize IRAs to Raise Capital and Invest in Notes" and Carl Fischer, former NASA rocket scientist and founder of CamaPlan - Self Directed IRA (SDIRA) presented advanced SDIRA strategies and case studies.
Doherty & Associates – CEO & President - Debbie Doherty – teamed with Attorney, John Williams to present to DELREIA (Delaware Real Estate Investor’s Association) about choosing the Right Entity for Real Estate Investment (REI) Business on June 3rd, 2014, in Newark, DE. John advised DELREIA members attendees on choosing the right entity by considering one’s particular REI business, other businesses involved in, sources of income, assets, growth goals, liabilities, cost, tax implications, obligations of the entity, and more. Debbie Doherty - Accountant presented the tax implications for the entity choices. Debbie Doherty & John Williams will also be doing the same presentation in Dover, DE on and June 24th, 2014..
Doherty & Associates participated in Associated Builders and Contractors Delaware’s (ABC) annual trade show on April 3rd, 2014. In addition to showcasing local ABC members businesses, ABC Delaware’s Red White & Blueprint Veterans in Construction collected professional used men & women’s clothing for returning veterans for the Suiting Warrior’s organization..
Doherty & Associates was a proud sponsor of Fairway Mortgage’s Boot Camp. Fairway Mortgage takes pride in supporting the Veterans by teaching realtors how to serve veterans with excellence. On April 8th & 9th, 2014 Fairway Mortgage offered real estate agents to earn their Certified Military Residential Specialist (CMRS) Designation and 3 hours toward the Realtor’s required continuing education. Following the class a free home in Milford, DE was awarded to a wounded warrior - Retired Lance Corporal Michael Puffenbarger and his family, by The Fairway Mortgage Corporation, in partnership with the Boot Campaign and Military Warriors Support Foundation. This was Fairway’s 14th Home Give-Away to a veteran and their family. Sean Parnell, the author of “Outlaw Platoon” also gave a presentation and gave away his book and autographed them at the event as well.
